The Full Album is Out. Superproud and excited to share Hello, Sun with You. This album is the result of a journey of some four years, starting in 2022 in Antida Music Studio in Bali, followed by music tour in Java with art centre Erasmushuis. After that co-producer/ bandmember Ro Halfhide, bandmember Julien Oomen and I have worked very hard to sculpt each of these eleven dreamy, moody, happy-melancholic songs. With the help of may great musicians and artist, both in the Netherlands and Indonesia, that poured their art and soul into it. To me personally, this album is about much more than my love for Indonesia or honouring my family history; rather than looking back, it is a way forward by creating together, nourishing friendships and sharing moments and ideas in the here and now. WOODS to give you moods! This song brings back a lot of great memories from our music tour in Java. The cello arrangement was created spontaneously during a rehearsal break. Woods is the last single release before the album comes out, and one of my favourite songs on the album, for it’s flow and rich, yet intimate arrangement. HUJAN RINGAN is the third single of the upcoming album. The song Hujan Ringan (‘Light Rain’) serves as an encouragement to keep going no matter what and to have faith that the ‘slower’ road will also lead to the right destination, at the right time. BELIEVE is Out Now! It’s the second single of the upcoming album ‘Hello, Sun’, which will be released on May 15th. This song serves as an encouragement to stop second-guessing yourself. First Single SEBELUM TERJAGA Out Now! Sebelum Terjaga (‘Before Waking’) is about a lost loved one who makes contact from the other of the veil. Although the person is no longer physically present, the connection remains strong, for it’s in the heart and in the blood. This song was recorded both in The Netherlands and Indonesia (Antida Studios), produced by Ro Halfhide & Robin Block, and features vocalist Bernadeta Astari.
